Our introductory Precision Rifle course is a 1 day 10-hour course that will introduce students to precision rifle shooting. Held at Del Norte Gun Club, topics include proper firearms handling, safety, scope mounting, maintenance, optic, rifle, and caliber selection considerations, MOA/MRAD units of measurement, external ballistics, effects of wind, and artificial support. Students will leave the class with a working level knowledge of how to effectively employ a precision rifle at known distances up to 1000 yards.

NOTE: The rifle, scope, scope rings, and ammunition you bring to class will define your experience. Match ammunition with a high ballistic coefficient and low velocity SD will ensure you get the most out of the class. Scopes without target turrets and MRAD or MOA reticles will limit your effective range. If you don’t have a rifle, scope, or ammunition suitable for long range shooting, reach out to us for a loaner and match ammunition.
