Description
Our introductory Precision Rifle course is a 1 day 8-hour course that will introduce students to precision rifle shooting. Held at Del Norte Gun Club, topics include proper firearms handling, safety, scope mounting, maintenance, optic and caliber selection considerations, MOA/MRAD characteristics, ballistics, wind effects, and more. Students will leave the class with a working level knowledge of how to effectively employ a precision rifle at known distances to 600 yards.

Rifle & Scope (we have loaner rifles, just ask)
80-100 rounds of factory match ammo (no reloads)
Bipod (Harris BR-S 6-9″ with notched legs recommended)
Rear bag , Shooting Mat, & cleaning kit
Hearing/eye protection
Notepad / pen / pencil
Clothes appropriate for the season and a high altitude desert
Long sleeve shirt & pants, (no low cut open tops that can catch hot brass)
Closed-toed athletic/outdoor footwear
Ball cap / Hat
Water bottle, water, snacks, lunch
Sunscreen & Chapstick

NOTE: Rifles and ammunition of questionable quality or in questionable condition will not be appropriate for this course. We will be conducting live fire drills. Firearms and ammunition must be reliable and safe for use.
